It was with great sadness and shock that we learned for the recent death of our dear colleague and friend Mike Bridgefoot. Many of us met Mike at the recent General Assembly – he was in such good form it is difficult to believe that he suddenly passed away a few short days later. Mike was the ENAEE treasurer for four years, a task he undertook with utmost professionalism. ENAEE certainly benefited from Mikes extensive experience with the IET and the professional engineering sector.
Mike was ever cheerful and the warmth of his character put people instantly at ease. His engagement with othes on financial matters and the development of the web site showed not only his vast breadth of knowledge but his spirit of dedication to his colleagues in ENAEE. Mike was held in high esteem by his colleagues and we are all the poorer for his passing. He will fondly remembered by all at ENAEE.
Our thoughts are with Mike’s family at this time. A light may have gone out but the glow will always live within us.
May he Rest in Peace.
